Wedding Wednesday: Rings

A few months ago, Chris and I were having a debate about wedding rings. He doesn't like them. I think they're a nice tradition. He said that he didn't like traditional silver or gold wedding bands, so I started looking for alternatives to see if we could find something we both liked. That was when I came across these wooden wedding bands from Stout Woodworks. The best news? We both love them! Here are a few of my favorites.

Wedding Wednesday: The Dress

My grandma was married on February 2nd, 1954 in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was 21 years old and my grandfather was 22 (the same ages that Chris and I are right now). Their wedding is definitely my inspiration for vintage wedding style. Today, I'd like to point out my grandma's dress and how simple and lovely it is. 

I absolutely love tea length 1950s wedding dresses like my grandma's. Especially poofy, lacy dresses with sleeves. With vintage weddings rising in popularity (particularly on wedding blogs like Ruffled and 100 Layer Cake), I've seen a lot of brides opting for this simple feminine style.
